Should I test or wait?

Last month I was 8 days late but when I started it wasn't a normal period at all was very light and pink not red. Since then I have been really nauseous and dizzy and extremely tired and now my boobs hurt. My period isn't due until the 12th but my husband swears I'm pregnant and wants me to test but I'm tired of the disappointing negatives. We have been trying for almost 2years and am starting lose faith. So should I test or just wait and see if AF shows her ugly face?
