Placenta Placement during pregnancy

I was experiencing some spotting and light bleeding for the last few days, and went in for an emergency ultrasound with my physician today. they told me the reason for the spotting/bleeding could be due to my low placenta (to close to cervix) but that at my 19week ultrasound they will check that again. They put me on a restriction of no intercourse for 2 weeks (my poor BF 😉) and no pelvic exams until my next ultrasound.
