First time giving birth!

Autumn
Wow what an experience! I went into labor 8/2/15 and my due date was 8/15/15. I starting waking up around 2-3 am with discomfort feeling like I had to make a bile movement but was frustrated because after trying a few times nothing was coming out! Then I started spotting and immediately called my mom. The dr said start timing contractions. I started having strong cramps and went to take a shower and get my bag. After my shower I starting having a burning sensation in my lower back every 7-8 mins and knew I might have been going into labor but still was not sure because the pains were not super strong! My mom actually thought they were false labor pains so decided we should get breakfast first.. So we're at the dunkin donuts drive thru while my contractions are starting to get closer and closer but I still wasn't sure if they were real ones. When I got to the hospital they sent me to triage and I was 5 cm dilated. They thought there would not be time to get me to labor and delivery so they gave me an epidural and was just about ready to break down the bed. The labor did slow down aNd the doctor was in my room the whole time because the baby's heart rate kept dipping low! I went to 5-10cm within minutes and it was time to start pushing! At first I could barely feel anything and thought to myself how the heck am I gonna push when I don't even feel him being close down there. Everytime I would have a contraction they told me to push! The contraction felt like I had to poop and a lot of pressure which could only be releaved through pooping. That's the only way I could notice the   contraction. They had to use an internal monitor on me and after 40 minutes of pushing he dinally came out! The doctor had to use a vacuum to help me and she had to physically go up there with her hands and turn the baby. I also had to lie on my side and push because of the position the baby was in. When he came out the cord was wrapped around his neck and they had to untie and cut it immediately! The nicu nurses had to come in and examine him but luckily my baby boy was so strong and did an amazing job!! 7 lbs 8 oz 21 inches long my love, my Mekhi was finally in my arms!!
