Uterus growing? Weird pain.

I'm 9w3d and I read it's normal to have some pains as the uterus is starting to expand. And I've had Twinging here and there that hasn't had me worried. But I just started getting a sharp pain that starts under my pubic bone and shoots into my vagina. It's quite intense and only lasts a second. Then comes back again a few seconds later. I know it's not gas pain because it's under my pubic bone and I've never had gas pains radiate into my vagina. Has anyone else experienced this type of pain? Of course it's making me paranoid that maybe it's a contraction and I may be beginning to miscarry. Any advice/experiences would greatly be appreciated. If it continues much longer I'll call my doc but I hate calling them for every little thing. Thanks again ladies.
