I don't have kids, but eventually. Have any of you felt this way before?

Unfortunately it's very taboo to talk about the negative side of parenting, but it's real. It's so hard. Harder than you can imagine. It puts strain on relationships. You are tired. You don't get a lot of breaks. You get "touched out" (when your toddler needs to be touching you, hitting you, jumping on you 24/7 and you've had enough of being touched and just want to be left alone). It's so hard to keep up with the child and the house and the husband and friends and whatever else. Everything changes. One example is, I used to love going to the beach. It was my calm relaxing place. Now I go with my daughter and I can't take my eyes off of her. I dont rest for even a moment. Chasing her constantly. She wants to be in the water all the time. She's running to other people's beach blankets. Trying to take other people's toys. Eating sand. Etc.

I love my daughter more than anything, but it's so hard. Much harder than life before. Nothing can prepare you for it.

Everyone is different though. Some people make it look easy. I'm not one of those people lol.
