Its not a period. You can not have a period while pregnant. Some people equate bleeding as a period, which is not the case, and I hate when doctors use the term out of ease of explanation to a patient because it's confusing. Just because you experience bleeding, doesn't mean you've menstruated.

You can't have a period while you're pregnant. You can spot or have bleeding that looks like a period but it's not your period. If it's heavy... Id go to the doctor. It could mean loss or something wrong. But if it's light i hear it happens to some women for some reason.
