Nursing shirts necessary?

Are nursing shirts and nursing bras necessary?

After nursing my first son for just over a year I found that (for me, at least) nursing bras or sleeping nursing bras were necessary, but I just wear a tank top under my regular shirt. Shirt goes up, tank comes down, boob comes out. Leaves very little skin exposed, and seeing as how my son wouldn't nurse with a cover (who can blame him), it was the best solution for us. I'll do the same for my second son.

In the beginning I loved nursing camis but after I lost a ton of baby weight I just make due with v-neck shirts and sports bras.

The bras are a must. I also had a few nursing tank tops from target that were really great at night when you don't want to wear a whole bra to bed or when it was cold you wanted to layer and still be able to get at your boobs without being all scrunched up.

For me nursing shirts were not necessary. Scoop necks or v necks are easy to just pull down. I nursed my son for 13 months in all my regular shirts except I did have to get a few low cut sweaters for winter time as all I had were turtle necks and cowl necks.
Nursing bras are necessary if you want to wear a "real" bra. If you usually wear sports bras or bralettes then those are also easy to pull down and you can get by without the clip down nursing ones.

I got nursing bras when my boobs got bigger and they are so much more comfortable and I can see that when I do start to breastfeed it will make it really easy. I had a few nursing shirts given to me and on my lazy days at home I'll wear them. Especially when my nipples are sore it's easy to just quickly put cream on them.

If your looking for convince then I'd say yes get them but if you don't have the money to spend on them, save the money and buy diapers.

Nursing shirts just depends, I think nursing bras were such a big help! A lot don't have that wire and I honestly feel more comfortable in those than in my regular bras, BIG help when feeding my baby!
