Migraines?!

Is there anything else besides Tylonol that I can take for these nasty headaches? Days on end now of them.

Mine put me on my ass for two weeks straight. My dr prescribed me a Tylenol mixed with something and it knocked it out. Go talk to your doc. They can help a lot!

My doctor prescribed magnesium for me to take every day to help prevent them, and compazine which not only helps with the nausea but also aborts the migraine in its tracks as a last resort when Tylenol, a nap or some caffeine or a cool cloth doesn't help. Good luck.... They're terrible.

My doc said ibuprofen works better than Tylenol and is perfectly safe to take up until 20 weeks. After that, I don't know 😁

I don't take any drugs, I had a persistent one that popped up again as I laid down and I took magnesium, B6, and Cell Food trace minerals and within the hour it was gone. Most people are deficient in all three, esp pregnant women.

So not take anything before talking to you doctor! I have NEVER heard that taking ibuprofen is safe while pregnant.

I've been getting these headaches about once a week. I wouldn't classify them as migraines but I did get one yesterday that certainly was! Is magnesium safe for pregnant women to take in addition to prenatal vitamins? 
Usually my once weekly headache shows up before bed, and is gone by morning.

My doctor said No ibuprofen or aspirin. She suggested 2 extra Tylenol a can on mt.dew and to lay down for a little bit. But I can call and have a prescription if I need.

I get terrible migraines. I asked my doc at my last appointment and she gave me fioricet. It was the only thing that worked before I was pregnant for migraines so I asked if it was safe and she said yes but if I feel a migraine coming on I should take extra strength tylenol, chug a soda, and lay down somewhere dark before. She said if you hit it early on it may not get to the point of severity to need a fioricet. She also said to take magnesium oxide everyday because it will help prevent migraines.

Not fun. :(   I stopped having migraines a few years ago and they started to come back after 8 weeks. I've stuck to Tylenol, at nights- 1 Tylenol pm. I chase it in the morning with some chai- seems the caffeine helps kill it off. Ask your dr what else you can take, he might have some other remedies. Best wishes it settles down for you!

If you read as to why we aren't suppose to take advil or excedrine or asprin it is because they are all blood thinners. Being pregnant you have such more blood pumping in your system that if you were still taking them on a continual basis during birth or if you got an injury you would most likely bleed out. I had a vomiting all afternoon migrane and needed something to stop it and I was due on a 3 hour flight home. So I took 2 excedrine  (and then vomited some of them up) ate a few chips and was able to comfortably endure my flight home. If you do something once or twice you will be fine. Migranes are a heartless bitch and I have had a damn headache every single day of this pregnancy so far. Do I take excedrine daily? Of course not. I take Tylenol like a sane person. If you take those occasionally you will be FINE.
