Any reason behind the spelling in your name?

Question

My question for you all is;
Is there any specific reason behind how or why your parents spelled your name a specific way?

For example, my family has always had this tradition of when a girls name could possibly end in an 'I' we end it that way! 😊 so there is; Tami, Kathi, Mari, Sheri, and Britni 😊

I was just curious if anyone else has name traditions, or reasons behind the spelling! 😊

My name is Lynzee, but most people tend to have trouble with that and so I just normally spell it Lindsay. 
I hate that my name is spelled weird. It makes everything so much harder. Kids were cruel growing up, and I had one particular teacher for four years in high school and she pronounced it Lynez.  I always felt left out, because my sister would always get personalized pencils and stuff like that for school, but nothing ever had my name on it. 
I wish my parents just went the normal spelling route. Idk why they got creative, but it's aggravating as hell.

 I was named exactly how my great grandmother was named
. I was born on her birthday exactly 80 years after she was born.. She was probably the greatest person in all of my family :-( miss her everyday

I know I have an opposing view, however, I believe in phonetic spelling. Both my little brother and I have phonetically spelled names. However, my brother's name is Stephan. He gets perturbed EVERYImE someone calls him, "Steven" he says," you don't call it a televone!" Point is, make it easy to grow up, do business... Etc.

My middle name is Cay. Most people would spell it with a K and not a C. It's spelt C.A.Y. because it's my grandfathers initials. 😊

My uncles name was Leslie 
& my grandfathers name was Ray 
So my name is Lezlie Rae 
They just changed the spelling . 
Until the day I was born they had planned to name me Melissa but when they seen me & I was such a little brute with a mean face and massive eyebrows my father said no way is she going to be a Melissa & changed my name . 
& boy was he right . Haha

Spelled with a C because of this actress my mom thought was pretty. 
I'm also all female junior. My father's name was Eric Lynn Stickley & i was born Erica Lynn Stickley. 
I was adopted by my mother's new husband at the age of 7, became a Bailey & in October I'll be Erica Lynn Dean. :)

Mine is spelt Chelsey, obviously ending with a 'Y' instead of an 'A'.

My parents wanted it to be different, but not too different. So many teachers through out school spelled my name wrong on stuff even with it written on the top of the paper lol

Yeah I don't know...there's a bit of an unplanned trend in my family, all the kids have 'ah' sound at the end. The two last syllables of their names are:
Ah
Ta
La
And Sa

Not planned in any way lol.
