FETAL HICCUPS... Can too many be harmful?

Ok I'm freaking out a little. I've been noticing baby hiccuping more often in a day. I sent my dr an email but have yet heard back... So I did the worst thing, I googled.  Now I fear baby could possible have problems with the cord.. Please give me relief and tell me your baby hiccups often too and everything is ok.

Hiccups are caused by baby practicing breathing. It isn't harmful, just gets annoying. My lil boy gets them constantly.

My lil man hiccups all the time doc says it's normal and that it is due to baby practicing breathing at this stage so he's swallowing amino fluid

My 6 year old hiccuped every time I laid down. She still gets them from time to time but not nearly as much as in the womb. She's a perfectly healthy.

How do I know if the baby is hiccupping?

My first LO hiccuped all the time and the only thing I read negative about it was that it could mean reflux for the baby after birth and in my case it did. My son hiccuped about 4 times a day in utero and easily 4 times a day after he was born and had mild reflux for the first 8 months or so.

My baby hiccups about 4 timed a day and I was wondering the same thing! I have my doctor appt next week so I was going to ask my doctor then. I Google too and freaked myself out

I was told by my clinic that hiccups mean baby is healthy

My mom said I hiccuped all the time and there was nothing wrong. I wouldn't worry too much, if it happens it's usually nothing to worry about
