Gender disappointment?
I've met people, and seen on many female forums similar to the Glow community, women who are so disappointed in the gender of their baby that they throw a big fit about it/are depressed, have trouble bonding with the baby, etc. (I know that post-partum depression can manifest itself in this way, but for the sake of debate please focus on gender disappointment itself)
I'm sure they love their child and all but I just have a hard time understanding it. A life is a life, none are the same, and having different gendered children has little to do with that life's personality/who they are. They are still uniquely themselves and individually special.
How do you feel about this, glow? Would you be truly happy with all girls or all boys, or would you feel as though something is missing/be sad?
