Anyone have blocked tubes?

Has anyone had the dye test done and X-ray and found to have a blocked tube? What do they do?

Are you asking what they do for the test? Or what they do after they discover your tube(s) are blocked?

The test is easy. It's uncomfortable, but not hugely painful (wasn't for me). I have one blocked tube, and he tried to force it open with the dye, and it felt like super strong menstrual cramps. I was told to take 3 Advil half an hour before the test.

You go into an xray room, they put a tube in your vagina and into your uterus that has dye in it, they squeeze it into your tubes and watch it on an xray machine. You can see it too. Either the dye will come out your tubes and they can see it, or it doesn't, and they might try to put more pressure to blow it out.

Then your doc will follow up.

Had the dye test after ectopic pregnancy. No spillage at all in the test...meaning my tubes were completely blocked. Doctor performed pushed the dye in and we could see my tubes swell on the monitor. A couple of drops finally spilled out of the tubes. Until she really pushed it, it was just uncomfortable, but when she pushed it I could have passed out from the pain! She said she was trying to help clear the tubes. Got a follow up phone call from OB saying that we could try on our own, but would most likely would need IVF. Little did we know that while we were having the IVF conversation I was already pregnant with #2 who is now a spirited 2 year old! I honestly think that procedure I had done cleared my tubes!!

Currently TTC #3. Waiting on AF after Mirena removal to get down to business!
