Abortion experience & cost?

I know many people have their own opinion when it comes to this subject, but I'm seeking advice because I think I might be pregnant. For anyone who has gone through with an abortion please tell me about your experience and give me advice? Also the cost of the procedure.

I did the medical abortion from planned parenthood. Mine was about $400 but I didn't go through insurance because I didn't want my parents to know so it's a different price depending on your situation.

The abortion itself was pretty painful but only for about an hour or so and then I was back to normal. I had my period for about a week and a half after. I chose the medical abortion because it was not invasive and didn't involve surgery. In my personal opinion, I think it's a little more natural but that was what I was comfortable with, everyone is different.

As for the emotional experience, it was not easy but I wouldn't change my decision for a second and I have no regrets. I mainly felt guilty and bad because society shames it so much. But I was not in a position to raise a child and I was not giving birth to give my child away to the foster care system. It is now 3 years after and I am grateful I made the decision I did. I was able to get a degree and am engaged to the love of my life. I will be able to create a stable environment for my future children and be the amazing mom I'm capable of being. It took a while to get where I am today but I wouldn't change a thing.

I had one at 16... Still to this day I think it's the best decision I have made because I wasn't mature enough to handle myself now why would I bring an innocent child into this world. The experience? To be honest, it was horrible... I cried myself to sleep for almost a year and a half, I went downhill with my life and escaped my pain through drugs and alcohol. I was so mad at myself and my decision for killing an innocent baby. I went through major depression and almost took my life.. 3 years later God has blessed me with another angel and I couldn't be more in love with her.. Just really think it through. Now the cost was completely covered by my insurance but the cost is different depending on your state, call and get more information on it & get your test done, cause the longer you weight the more complicated the situation gets. I found out early, at 5 weeks, and did the medication abortion at 6.5 weeks at a PP near me in New England. It was free for me with insurance, and I was able to get an IUD in shortly after (about five weeks later). If you've ever had a miscarriage, the medication one is just like it phyisologically -- crampy and painful, like having a period in 6 hours rather than 6 days. On the plus side, they do give you meds for pain and nausea, so that made it more tolerable.
​Same rules as others have stated (no sex for four weeks, no tampons, etc.). If you have the surgical kind, you can get an IUD out at the same time.
​Sure, it's a hard choice, but it was the best choice for me. If you go to PP, they also provide you with the number of a hotline you can call if you feel down and want to talk to a confidential, nonjudgmental counselor. I did that a few days after, and they're nice, so don't hesitate.

I had an abortion 9 years ago. I told myself for years it was the right decision for a myriad of reasons. To the average person, I had all the right reasons. However one day you are faced with the voice you made and my time came way sooner than I thought when I asked Jesus to be my savior. I was convicted in my heart of what I've done. I didn't think that could happen because I had all the right reasons. But there I was faced with the fact that I killed Gods special creation. Another human. I didn't see it as human but I educated myself. If you want the truth about abortion, educate yourself. Abortionists and their assistants leave the abortion industry in droves for a reason. 
My abortion then was the traditional version and was 400. I know they are more now. 
I just want to encourage you that an abortion you may regret. But giving birth is something you will never regret. Whether you choose adoption or choose to be a parent, you will never regret choosing life. 
Abortion does not make you any less of a mother. Not a day goes by I don't think about my child.

I had one on Friday, 9/25/15, and I had the option of doing either the surgical or pill abortion. The pill abortion is $180 more and is a longer process so I chose the surgical. They make sure you are aware of everything that is going to occur beforehand along with during. A Valium or some other form of muscle relaxer is given to help calm you and then a high dose of ibuprofen is given for pain management. There's a whole lot of waiting beforehand, but the procedure itself takes about 2-4 minutes. I will not lie to you and say mine was pleasant, because for about a solid minute it was nothing but severe cramping and for the 15-20 minutes afterwards in recovery there was a lot of discomfort. They send you with prescriptions for pain management and to control the bleeding that you must take as prescribed. I was really concerned with how I would feel afterwards because I have struggled with depression for majority of my life, but I truly have felt relieved. I am still experiencing some cramping and spotting much like you would during your usual period except the bleeding is much lighter. The procedure was $320.
