Going off birth control?

Has anyone ever gone off the pill? I am afraid of the side effects that may arise from going off, especially acne. Any experiences to share?

My friend went off and she got really depressed and she had bleeding for a month, it stopped two days then started again. She's still off and she feels great and she's no longer depressed because of it.

I've been off for 2 months now. My acne was horrible at first but now it is starting to calm down and my face is back to how it was on birth control. I feel much more emotionally at ease off of birth control as well.

I went off. The acne hit me like a truck (bad for me, but I'm sure other people have acne on the regular that's worse) the first cycle. Each cycle it got tamer, and it got more in line with hormones rather than all cycle long. :)

Personally I feel better being off of the pill physically and emotionally. My periods are more predictable and less cramping and clots than before. On the downside, I break out now but for me it's well worth what the pill was doing to me.
