This is an old wives tale (just like heartburn = a full head of hair). The baby's heart rate fluctuates over the course of the pregnancy. If this were true for me personally, my baby would've changed genders quite a few times.

One of the most accurate ways of knowing the gender is by your anatomy scan which should be done around 20 weeks. By this time, genitalia should be formed where it's pretty obvious if it's a boy/girl.

I have three girls & this was accurate for two of them. It's been accurate for all of my sisters pregnancies (2 boys & 1 girl). This pregnancy has been 171 first ultrasound and then 157 at the second so we shall see if it's correct this time!

Son was always below 140 and daughter was always above 150.
This baby has been around 140 so we'll see on Friday if it's 3 out of 3 😜
