Mirena??

Ok so after I had my first child 7 years ago I had the mirena put in. I had it for about a year and a half and during that time my husband bumped it multiple times. I ended up getting a bacterial infection because of it and had it removed. I was under the impression that I couldn't have the mirena because I have an oversized cervix. But now I'm thinking my old obgyn placed it wrong... After I had my second child 4 years ago I tried the implanon and bled non stop for months so I had that removed.... I haven't been on birth control for about 3 years now and I'm pretty sure we're done having kids but I don't want to take any permanent steps to prevent it. My question is do you think I should try the mirena again now that I have a new obgyn? Has anyone ever had this problem with it before?
