Can you test if your pregnant before your missed period?

Im not trying to get pregnant so I have no idea my Bestfriend is trying and she told me you could test anytime it doesn't matter you don't have to wait until the missed period is this true? If so why on the commercials it says test after your missed period. Sorry if this sounds stupid I have no idea and a bit confused.

You'll get a more accurate result if you waited till your missed AF. I always tested when I wanted to. I got this 7 days before my missed period. everyone is different.

Some tests like first response and ept say that you can test as early as 6 days before the missed period. Inside the box there's a little pamphlet with a chart that shows you the percent accuracy based on the day you test.

I tested 6 days post ovulation . Just new I was pregnant at 3dpo had a weird feeling so I took a test andddddddddddd yesssssss it was a positive .

You can test as Early as 6 days before
Missed period BUT it's not a 100% accurate . I actually tested like 8 days before missed period and got a BFP and I'm 14 weeks now
