What did you take your baby home in? Did he/she/they wear baby shoes?

Have no idea what I should buy to take the baby home. Would love pics if you have them!

I'm planning to bring home baby girl in something practical. I didn't think it was necessary to go all out on a fancy frilly dress or something for a ten minute car ride. We just picked something cute from target that would work for when we're home too. 
I figured we could take the dress off and she'll be comfy in the onesie and pants. No shoes tho, I figured cute booties would be more appropriate to keep her toes warm.

My dad bought us thing 1 and thing 2 onesies for our twins. I think they are super cute so they may come home in them haha with some matching socks, beanies/headbands/bows idk

I had an outfit picked for my son but he was born much bigger than we expected so he didn't fit in it lol. We ended up just bringing him home in a onesie. 😊

We're just gonna use a cute comfy onesie with a family blanket that not only did I come home in as a baby but also my sister, brother AND mom all came home from the hospital in.

My sister brought a few onesies and outfits for her son, but he was so little,  none of them fit. :)

My daughter came home in a onsie and blanket and socks... She was to small for her preemie outfit lol. This one will be coming home in a warm sleeper (due in Dec)

With my girls I had cute little dresses picked out. Despite being nearly 8 pounds, my oldest daughter still looked like she was swimming in her newborn dress and the same happened with my second daughter 4 years later...she was a bit smaller. So with both I ended up just putting them in a sleeper and a hat

I wouldn't put shoes on a newborn. Their ankles can't support them especially if the shoes are heavy. Just stick to socks or booties. It's not like they're walking anywhere!
