Holiday in Greece after c section?

I had my c section on August 12th and my family might be booking a holiday in Greece in early September. I want to go and take my baby girl with me, do you think it's a bad idea? My cut is looking really good, will swimming be okay?

I would talk to your doctor. I felt ok after a couple weeks but if I was up doing too much it made me really sore and I would have to relax for a while, plus it also made me bleed more. And I probably wouldn't suggest swimming that soon after, you don't want to get an infection. Not worth the risk.

How long of a trip is it? Where are you starting from?

Traveling that early will need cleared by your doc.

My doc said no flights while baby was less than 8 weeks old due to their immune system.

Definitely speak with your doctor and the pediatrician about this. Your cut may look good now but could still have issues later. At 3 weeks pp mine opened up a little on one side and started leaking fluid, no infection but I had to take antibiotics to ward it off. Swimming may also be out of the question because it takes a while to fully heal. As far as your baby goes, she won't be 2 months old yet which according to my pediatrician at least is when they can have their first round of vaccines and be safe to go out in large crowds.
