Implantation or period???

So has anyone ever felt like they had their period and then have it stop for 2 days and then be a brownish in color and then get BFP??? I ovulated on the 9th of Aug...but tested on the 20th and was neg...could I have tested too early and this was implantation bleeding? Or was this my period? It lasted 3 days.
