Injections..?

Can someone please tell me what injections you have during pregnancy as my midwife has only told me about the one that stops you getting flu in winter is there anymore you need to have & do you need all the injections? Thanks just want a clearer understanding

Our nephew unfortunately caught whooping cough and spent months in and out of the hospital. He was three months shy of needing his booster but the vaccine wasn't as effective for him as it was supposed to be. It was awful! I wouldn't wish that on anyone!! That is one vaccine recommended in addition to the flu shot during pregnancy. Even though I was protected prepregnancy, I will be getting the vaccine again in order to pass on the powers to our little baby.  Definitely talk to your doctor about what they recommend!!

Flu shot is recommended because getting the flu while pregnant can be pretty harmful to the developing fetus.
TDaP is tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis.  You get it near the end of your pregnancy to pass immunity on to the baby (for pertusis).
There is also the rhogram shots you get if your blood type is rh negative. Mine is not so I don't know much on the subject.

Anti D injections if you're rhesus negative . At 28 weeks usually and after birth , but also at any other time when there is bleeding or suspected bleeding.
