Baby shower rant

I just need to vent for a minute. My mother in law has offered to host my baby shower since I found out I was pregnant. Well here I am 32 weeks pregnant and still don't even have a date for one! I've pretty much accepted that there just won't be one. And every time someone asks me if there's one I've pretty much just said it doesn't look like its going to happen but then the MIL calls my husband complaining that I shouldn't be saying that there won't be one and it makes her look bad. Okay well my daughter will be here in roughly 54 days so I've just gone out and bought the things I need for her, and all I hear from MIL is that I'm not leaving anything for anyone else to buy. I just can't win. Sigh. Ok rant over
