Dental work while preggo?

Soooo, I need a crown 😭😭😭 my dentist told me to schedule it during my second trimester, but I'm already dreading it. Dental work is the worst! And dental work while pregnant just sounds completely awful.....UGH. I hope they can still do it if I'm crying the entire time.... Anyone get major dental work done while preggo?

I had a crown done while pregnant last time. I'm the type that has to take Ativan to go to the dentist lol so I was not happy at all to not be able to take it. It's also very uncomfortable if you are far along being upside down and on ur back made me sick.

Crowns aren't that bad. The only reason they say 2nd trimester is for the freezing. I had a filling fall out my 3rd trimester and thankfully the whole filling fell out and they put in a temp one and then when my son was 2 months old the temp one fell out and so they did the work then. I was thankful it fell out though cuz it meant they didn't have to drill it out which would have been worse. I hate the dentist and I never take my son with me. I schedule any work that has to be done on a day my mums able to watch him if my app is close to when school gets out, I take my iPod and I listen to the music and I have them do a dental dam too cuz then I don't feel like I'm suffocating so much. Most people hate them but I love them! They're wonderful lol, my office thinks I'm weird for loving them.

The lidocaine used they have one for nursing or pregnant mommas you will be fine! I'm a dental assistant before I had my son and we worked on pregnant women. Just don't go near nitrogen, or the laughing gas.. That's no good
