What to and what not to pack. Need help.

Question

I'm a first time mom and I don't want to over or under pack. So, what should and shouldn't I pack?

Answer

Hospital pack comfy loose clothes (unless u want to wear hospital robes your entire stay), an outfit or 2 for the baby, pads, large underwear u don't mind getting ruined, comfy slippers, jacket/robe/etc for when you get cold, things to do (cards, puzzle books, etc), iPod or other music source, headphones, makeup (if u so choose), breast pads, toiletries (hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc), shelf stable snacks, cell phone. That's pretty much it that I can think of. 
Hospitals usually have shampoo, toothpaste, etc you can have but I prefer my own. The hospital will supply diapers & wipes for the baby so don't bother bringing a stash from home. They will also provide 2oz formula bottles & nipples if you can't breastfeed.
