What are your periods like on the implant?

Question

I have painful periods and I have sex so I'm on the pill but I keep forgetting to take the pill. 
So I want to have an implant but I would like to know:
 Are your periods heavier? Lighter? Painful? Irregular? Normal? Or do you No longer have them?

I had a long period (3 weeks) right after they put it in, but that was just my body adjusting. I haven't had any pain or any discomfort since then, and no periods. In my opinion, it's the best BC option! I've been on the pill, and I always forgot to take it haha, but this is no worries at all for three years or until you want it removed :)

I have had it a year and a half. I am almost 4 months without a period. Me and my boyfriend have sex a lot and haven't gotten pregnant he comes in me. He has only felt the strings once and that was when he was fingering me really deep. Have a lot less cramping when I do have my periods. The first couple of hours there is a lot of cramping but it subsides.

I had the implant in my arm and the only reason I liked it is because I didn't have to remember to take a pill. I never knew when to expect a period, I had horrible cramps, and my bleeding was much heavier at times. I don't think I actually had a normal period the whole time I had it. I went from periods that lasted a month and a half to a period that was a week and a half long, then a week after stopping I would start again, and even having a period that would be there for a couple of days, take a few days off, then come back again.

My periods are so much lighter but a bit more irregular. I'm never really sure when I'll get a period. Also my cramping is worse and I get viral infections frequently. But I got the implant because id forget the pill too. It's a lot easier as when it's in you don't have to think about contraception for 3 years. Although remember it doesn't protect again sti's. You may notice mood changes at the beginning but these settle. The procedure is also virtually pain free
