Do you still ovulate even if you miss your period?

I'm not sure how all of that works, my last period was august 2nd-5th. I'm 10 days late, no cramping or any signs or af starting soon. I've taken a couple tests and they all said negative. I'm not sure what I should do... obviously we are still ttc. My periods have always been abnormal so I'm never sure when it's going to start. How do I know when I'm ovulating though? And do i still ovulate even though I'm not having a period??

First and foremost, and I say this with love, PLEASE read up on how some of this works. There is a lot of great information out there to help, written by professionals. Secondly, ovulation and your menstral cycle don't necessarily go hand in hand. The lining of your uterus can shed (your period), without you having ovulated. Ovulation is when a mature egg is released by the Ovary into the Fallopian tube. If the mature egg isn't fertilized then it is expelled with the uterine lining (again, your period). If you haven't gotten your period in about a month, it could possibly mean that a mature, fertilized egg has attached itself to the uterine lining resulting in pregnancy. Or maybe you're going through something stressful and your body and hormones are out of whack. If you've gotten negative tests and haven't had a period for almost a month, I would go see your gynecologist immediately and consult with him/her. Also, the best way to be able to tell that you're ovulating (if you don't have ovulation symptoms) is by tracking basal body  temp, using ovulation tests and/or checking cervical mucus each month.
