Here's the background: we'll be able to afford this baby, but my husband and I both just graduated school. At 15 weeks pregnant we moved half way across the country for my job, but my husband still had to finish his degree and took his sweet time finding a job. His car also died the week before we moved so we picked up a car payment recently as well. I make enough money to cover that expense with our other debts, but it doesn't cover much more than that.

We're running out of time to order our nursery furniture and actually get it before the baby gets here, and my husband is finally working, but every time I bring up ordering the furniture he says it's just not a priority to him.

Can anyone relate to making enough money that you should be buying everything yourself but not being able to?
