Cord Around Babies Neck?

I'm 34 weeks pregnant.  Always worried by horror story that the umbilical cord is gonna wrap around my babies neck,  or leg or somthing. . Anyone else worry? If it's happened to you,  what are the signs? What happened??

Thisis one of my biggest fears as well. I assisted with a birth where the baby came out blue with the cord wrapped around his neck. Before I knew it the doctor had it unwrapped and the baby was crying it was amazing!! My co-worker just told me her daughter was born with the cord around her neck twice her daughter is now 32 years old.

My baby had the cord wrapped around his neck. He came out looking blue and the doctor. Cut the cord quickly, due to the fact that he was a fast delivery the Drs assumed it was ok, because he wasn't in the birth canal long. But all turned out ok and none of his vitals ever changed during labor he was a happy healthy boy moments after delivery and still is now at 2 months

Almost 32 weeks and I worry all the time especially since my baby was breech I'm nervous about her flipping down and it getting wrapped 😁😁. Motherhood if its not one thing we stress about its another *sigh*

O I'm glad he was ok!!so it didn't make any difference since they got to it fast enough?  We're there any symptoms?  How long do they think he was like that?

This happened to my uncle, he was born with the cord strangling him to
The point that he was blue, and he had had a bowel movement in the womb and it was in his mouth and nose. But thankfully my grandmother had a quick thinking dr and he grabbed a straw out of her water cup and sucked the poop out of his mouth and  nose and cleaned him up super fast BEFORE removing the cord. Seems backwards but since the cord was keeping him from breathing in that poop it was the best thing he could have done. My uncle grew up totally healthy and there was no brain damage whatsoever. We are very blessed. 
All that being said, it can be very unfortunate when something like that happens, but it can all work out just fine. Newborns are a lot tougher than we think!

It is more common then you think during birth especially at least according to the dr that delivered our son.  My son had the cord wrapped around his neck when he was born. I ended up having an assisted birth. But the dr dealt with it so fast I didn't realise until my partner told me. He is absolutely perfect. Now they did tell me baby was in distress and they needed to get him out asap.
