Announcing twins? Or not?!

Has anyone had a confirmed twin pregnancy and considered not telling people it is twins?

I'm having triplets but I'm not even telling people I'm having one yet.

There is a video on YouTube where a couple kept their babies gender a secret but also didn't announce they were having twins! After babies are born they introduce them to family. It's one of the most precious videos ever! I know I couldn't do that because I'm terrible at keeping stuff like that secret but it looks like one of the best suprises ever!  http://youtu.be/ggXJ5G8JCt8

I'm the worst with secrets. As soon as the dr told me twins & my appointment was over I called DH then my mom, then my mil, then my dad & sisters & then my 3 best friends, all before I got to work. I couldn't imagine waiting 9 months to share that info.

It's up to you really but I couldn't hide it. Knowing I was going to have more drs appointments and so much more stress I wanted family and friends to talk to and help me along.

I didn't tell anyone minus my mom it was was twins until 12 weeks. That was only close family. I didn't tell everyone else until I was 14 weeks.

I only told my mom and close friends until I got the okay from my doctor. They told me since both babies are growing at the same rate and look amazing and no problems to go ahead and announce and that's when we did :)

Yes we are waiting until 20 weeks after our first doctor appt to tell people it's twins but will tell friends that I am pregnant after 1st trimester. Unless I get huge before that and people are getting judgy :)
