Blood test results??

Question

Hey ladies - question for you all. Anyone have an idea how early blood tests can pick up pregnancy? My doc gave me one at 3 dpo and said it could pick up the HCg possibly. Has anyone had this experience? I didn't think this could happen until implantation.

It came back negative but I'm wondering if I should lose all hope this Round. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Yea I'm still surprised they opted for the blood test. Started googling and no one seems to see any sort of success before 6dpo with any sort of test. Maybe I'm not out after all...

It won't pick up that early so that may be why. I would get another one

Yes 3dpo is to early for any test. Usually 7-12 dpo a blood test can show something but will usually be very low. Good luck ! Baby dust.!

At 3 dpo, implantation hasn't even occured yet. Your body wouldn't be producing HCG yet. I am not sure why your doctor told you a blood test could detect pregnancy at that point. It is too early at that point.

No...  Hcg isn't produced until implantation, which occurs at 6-12 dpo....
