Green tea and honey safe?

I want a warm cup of green tea. Is it safe for me to put honey in my tea?

Honey is fine for you, not for infants.

If the honey is pasteurized yes it's ok but if it's fresh honey no I asked my doctor

Unpasteurized honey is not safe(fresh honey) because it contains bacteria. Stuff on the shelves at grocery stores that has been processed is ok. My doc said to lay off a lot of the teas because early on some can induce miscarriage and what not. Regular black teas is fine. But you just really have to watch what stuff is in the teas you buy.

I drink warm lemon water with honey in it . Dr said it was fine ... helps me when I'm feeling under the weather
