Hmm, Mid-Wife or hospital?

Question

I think i want a midwife,
But then again i dont know....
I wonder do midwife's also sew you up?  Do they always come home, do they have them in hospitals?

I want to hear your opinion on it? 
Also would you consider having a midwife?
Any past experience?

I was going with an OB until I researched and realized I wasn't going to be able to labor and have an all natural birth like I wanted from a hospital experience. 
I researched birthing centers in my area and found a wonderful midwife and birthing center, and I am so looking forward to giving birth to my son. 
They know what "emergency" signs to look for, and if you should tear, they know how to fix you up. Most midwives are certified nurses and have been through more schooling and experiences than most hospital staff.

Everyone will have their own personal preferences but this is mine. :)

Midwives can do everything the same except preform a C-section. I have a midwife that works at my hospital... Midwives can also be used as your regular gyno.

I did the hospital with my first child without the jacuzzi tub and I hated it, plus it was different nurses constantly in and out and they didnt offer the jacuzzi tub.
For my second I opted for a hospital that had a midwife at the hosiptal and offered me the option of laboring in the tub and it was amazing. . I'll be doing it for my 3rd child as well. 👍

I use a midwife. She generally delivers in the hospital and actually mentioned to me once that only 5% of her patients choose home births.

My OB practice has 5 doctors and 4 midwives. I see the midwives but it's nice to know they can consult a dr if needed. They also only deliver in a hospital. They respect my wishes but I also respect their training/knowledge/experience. If they say something is needed I will trust them if they say not to worry I try not to. I would never deliver outside of a hospital after knowing people who did and almost died (at a birthing center). Childbirth is extremely hard on your body and can (not will) cause cardiac arrest. I'd rather be in a hospital with a dr nearby if something goes wrong or worst case senerio. Too many moms plan and believe in the best case senerio when it doesn't always happen. I was ready and prepped for any situation. Which was a good thing as my baby was unable to nurse and I couldn't letdown on a pump so I was prepared to nurse if needed as my SIL never produced any milk. There is a reason there are less deaths of mothers giving birth and it's because they are delivering in the hospital.

Midwives do sew you up, they basically do all the necessary stuff to both you and the baby. They also have drugs and medication to stop the bleeding, etc.
Most of them will only accept low-risk pregnancies though.
If you are not sure, finding one who can deliver at the hospital is a great option.

I had a midwife and I loved her very attentive. I delivered my child at a hospital got my prenatal appointments at a clinic. I have a male obgyn and I not fond of him he's rude and appointments feel rushed and I never get my questions answered! Luckily I'm almost at my finish line so I don't have to see him anymore.
