Middle name dilemma

Ok, so we were set on naming our baby (if it's a boy) after my husband. I wasn't too excited about it until I decided I can call him Loui 😊
Then my husband's cousin passed away a couple of months ago and he would like to change the middle name to cousin's name (Lawson) to honor him. I totally respect why he feels that way, but I don't want to call my son Joseph or Lawson...
