How to deal with dentist while pregnant

If anyone is like me.. They hate the dentist. I've had many many teeth filled/pulled/etc. so i've had many times where they used all these needles to numb me. It hurt but I got over it. But tomorrow, I go in to have 2 teeth pulled in my top row (baby teeth that never fell out.)
Since they are on the top row, the numbing needles go right behind my two front teeth. They only did that once and i cried. I have a high pain tolerance but that hurt so bad.
Now that i'm pregnant, my gums are more sensitive. Now im worried i wont beable to handle it. That spot behind my front teeth is even more sensitive than it was before.
My dentist usually does it as soon as i get there, so I wont really have time to back out or anything once im in the chair. Im actually for once terrified to go. How would you recommend dealing with the pain? I'm hoping she will put it in the back of my mouth because i can handle that but knowing her, she wont. I also cant ask her because she doesnt speak english, but shes a very good dentist. One of the best. So i trust what shes doing. Im just scared. Any help?
