What's ur thoughts on breastfeeding?

Question

So with my firs two I was very young and bottle fed them. If I'm blessed enough to get pregnant again I would love to try and breastfeed for all the obvious benifits!  But how do I get over my own shy insecuritys of breastfeeding in front of anyone but my husband and children. And no negative comments please I know that's why god gave us boobs but I can't help how I feel. Help me get over it please ☺

Nursing covers are really good

Just start in the comfort of your own home. If you go out and visit people or go anywhere excuse yourself to a quite place or room to beast feed in peace. People done mind you excusing yourself for that. You can also cover up with a blanket or wrap to keep everything undercover.

My son had latching issues, so I pump and feed him breast milk by bottle, but pumping before you go out and getting a cooler to take expressed breast milk with you isn't that difficult just annoying...

You can also use a nursing cover :)

I tried breastfeeding with my first and i struggled so much my boobs are massive at a 38L, and i needed an extra pair of hands to lift my boob up so i wouldnt suffocate her and so she was in the right position. It was very hard and in the end decided to use a bottle. I think this time round im going to express in a bottle and see how that turns out.

There are awesome shirts, some really expensive, some that you can make yourself (look it up on Pinterest). A lot of people don't realize how many ladies are nursing in public because it's soooo not obvious. Well, for the first few weeks it'd be really tough but after that there are nursing covers and scarves and the shirts and nursing tanks.

You can always put a blanket or nursing cover over you. There are so many things you can do to cover up if that's what you want.

I'm also pretty shy. I'm pregnant with my 3rd and the shyness hasn't gone away. Definitely look into nursing covers. There are many different styles to choose from that have different amount of coverage. Also, depending on who or how many people are around I've chosen to nurse in a different room to stay out of the "spotlight".

U are able to breast feed very discreetly now..wear easy to get into tops and nursing bras..then ill use a scarf ( like a fashion scarf ) to tie around my neck to save it slipping of and cover up with it :)

Thanks for the feedback girls!  I definitely want to give it a go (when I eventually fall pregnant again) as I regret my shyness keeping me from breastfeeding with these two. You have given me some great ideas thanks so much ! X
