Anyone else stating to hate the word "opinion"?

Just because you state something as being your opinion, does not just mean the discussion has ended and therefore you're right. A opinion is just that, its not fact.

Yes. People are entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts. Someone's opinion becomes invalid the second it seeks to dehumanize another.

My dad says that opinions are just like buttholes. Every one has one, and some people are gassier than others. I had to agree with that.

A opinion is just that...it's a opinion regardless in wether you agree with it or not, wether it's right or wrong, it's that persons thoughts and feelings about something it's their opinion and everyone is entitled to it.....

My grandpa doesn't think gays should marry or that people should have bi racial relationships...that's his opinion that's how he grew up, he's allowed to have his opinion, doesn't make him wrong or right because I don't agree with it! My aunt just married her wife and I couldn't be happier, he wasn't happy. My cousin is dating a POC, that pisses grandpa off because in his opinion you shouldn't date outside your race, in my opinion as long as your happy do what makes you happy.

People tend to take other people's opinions to seriously and forget the FACT that it is nothing more than a personal opinion.

I think everyone has a right to an opinion. it's how some people choose to voice them or use them to bring others down that bothers me.....if u don't like my opinion and u feel the need to kindly voice urs without insulting me that's fine....its when u add harsh words or statements In that it gets ridiculous....like I saw a comment on a post someone said they feel cats are useless creatures, I personally love cats I have 5...am I offended by that statement no its her right to have that opinion...had she stated "ur discusting because u love cats" now ur opinion has become an insult to me (she didn't say that I'm saying that as an example) people don't seem to be able to filter their thoughts and draw the line

Exactly I've had people literally state their "opinion" on something and think it supersedes actual facts......
I could say that "in my opinion the sky is pink" it doesn't mean I'm right in any sense of the word 😐
