Afraid of dog meeting baby!

I'll start off by saying I love my dog!! Everyone tells me to give him away but I won't becuz he's my first love. He if 2 a small Maltese n he is very sweet he is aggressive n bites sometimes tho but not hard just play biting unless you grab a bone away from him he's 6 lbs lol so he can't seriously hurt anyone but I'm not sure about the baby I'm a little nervous! Especially cuz the relatives will be breathing down my back about him if the baby gets a tiny scratch from wtvr they'll blame it on the dog! I made it clear I'm not giving him up but my husband started worrying me lately cuz he seems to agree with them
