A strep test includes a sterile throat swab and a bacterial culture. Even if you bought the swab and the media, most people won't have the ability to correctly incubate it. Unless you're talking about swabbing and sending the swab.... Which would delay results and possibly lead to false negatives due to bacterial death in transit...

It's really irresponsible as a woman, parent, citizen, not to just go to the doctor or take your child to see a physician.

You need antibiotics to treat strep throat. And it's highly contagious

I would rather test at home, only assuming there was a way to digitally send the accurate result to a doctor so that they could give a script. My assumption is that a system like this would be cheaper and faster than being seen in person, and i could limit the potential number of people i spread it to. But that's probably wishful thinking.
