Can you leave the hospital after being induced?

My dr told me to have a good shower and breakfast before I go in to be induced and that I probably wouldn't have the baby that day but the next. Can you leave the hospital once that's started or not? Or does it just depend?

No, because they need to monitor you and baby to make sure with of you don't go into distress. :)

No once I was in there I was there until they discharged me

That depends on how you're being induced. I went into the hospital in the morning for gel, went home and was scheduled to go back at midnight for pitocin (my water ended up breaking at 5 pm, so the scheduled appt didn't matter). Once they start pitocin, you can't leave.
