Natural Hospital Birth
I have wanted to give birth as naturally as possible from the moment I found out I was pregnant. I live an hour away from the hospital where I will be giving birth. My due date is Christmas Day, so I know traffic around the holidays will be awful.
I've read that with natural hospital births women are encouraged to stay home as long as possible during labor to avoid temptation from nurses and doctors trying to offer unnatural methods to speed things up/remove the pain. However, being so far from the hospital makes me wonder if I'll be able to make it there in time if I prolong going. Any ideas on what I should've do?
I'm also having my mother and mother-in-law in with my husband and I during labor. How can I ensure they help me stick to my birth plan even if in the moment I ask for an epidural?
