Dangers of having an epidural?

Is there any dangers? Are you getting an epidural or natural?

These are the risks for the mom alone. That's not even considering the baby.

If you contact your hospital or ask your OB they can provide a fulllist of the risks to mom and baby. It's pretty lengthy and im not sure it would fit in a comment on here. I'm personally doing without becuase my last two failed and i just can't put myself through that again.

The dangers are definately severe, I am still opting for one. I got some time currently 28 weeks  and I am very thankful my OB has become a friend and is really good with helping me decide. Still, the pain I am just petrified of !

Sure there are always risks associated with anything. There are risks sometimes associated with having a natural birth too. But the chance is low that you will have complications due to an epidural, ask your doctor about it in order to make an informed decision for yourself.

Yes there are risks. 
I'm going to try to do labor in a birthing pool, but deliver normally. I'm not ruling out any pain med options, but going natural would be my goal.

There's always a danger with any medical procedures or medication. Weigh your risks and benefits with your OB.

I'm allergic to Opiods so we used extreme caution with my epidural and I had a lower dosage. I had mine after 9 hours of labor and have no regrets, I was finally able to rest and prepare myself for when Id have to push. I couldn't imagine having gone the full 22 hours of labor without one, the first 9 were more then enough for me.

An epidural scares the Hell out of me.

Nope, I plan to do without. While spinal taps are different, I have had horrible experience with needles in my spine.
