Sleeping positions? Help

Is there any position that you aren't supposed to lay while you're pregnant? I've slept on both sides, on my back, and stomach. Im not sure if some of the positions are harmful to my baby.

Lay on your left side it's better for the baby my doctor said.

A lot of people say that you're not supposed to lay on your back once your uterus starts getting bigger and bigger. But my doctor told me that all you really need is a tilt. Idk. My hips have been hurting so badly that laying on my back is the most comfortable. I try not to stay for long periods of time like that, but I'm laying on my back right now with a pillow under my side, giving me a little tilt and it feels just like I'm laying on my back. The sides are the best for sleeping while pregnant, I guess. But I tend to sleep on my stomach with a pillow under me so my stomach is half on the mattress and half on the pillow...if that makes sense.
