Doulas?

Are any ladies using a doula ? This is my second pregnancy.
No doula the 1st time but having one this time around.... What were your experiences?

Answer

My husband and I are planning on it. I am trying to go all natural in a hospital setting just in case anything goes wrong. A doula can not only be a great support to get you through the labor, but an amazing advocate for you. I want somebody who knows what's going on just in case the doctor says, "you need a c-section." I would like the doula there to be able to assess the situation as well. I look at a doula not only as a support system, but also an advocate, and second opinion.
