Am I allowed on the counter?

I'm not very big yet and I don't think I've lost any balance yet, but every time I climb up on the counter or a chair to reach something my SO gets upset with me and makes me get down. We've been going back and forth on it for a long time and couldn't find any answers online. Is it okay for me to climb up on the counter or stand on a chair?

Its safe until you fall! I wouldnt just in case you lose your balance.

I wouldn't anymore just to be safe. I sometimes tend to get dizzy and lightheaded with all these hormones.

I'm only 5w+4d and my coworker (who is the only one who knows about our babe except for my husband) got upset with me on Friday for standing on a chair to stick something on the window at a staff meeting?! She said I shouldn't be doing that?? I'm confused!
