How long before HCG levels to reach zero??

How long is it possible to have HCG in your blood stream after D&C? I did have extremely high hcg at 9 weeks at 161,000. Molar pregnancy ruled out nor twins.

My very 1st DNC, the doctor said up to a month I could have a positive HPT. I had very high levels too (174,000).  The others, #2-5, my levels were a lot lower (>10,000) and I was told me for a week or two I could still test positive.    My doctor always had me come in to check my levels were down to Zero & scanned me via ultrasound to check, for precaution reasons, that nothing remained in my uterus.
This time I had my 1st natural MC.  I'm surprisingly doing OK now.  I had a talk with myself about refusing to stay "stuck" about my loss.  I wish you the best & hopefully I helped you a tad!  I'm very sorry for your loss!

My doctor said to take a home pregnancy test two weeks after surgical treatment and to go back in if it is positive because that could mean something was left in my uterus. I've been doing cheapie hpts every few days and they're getting lighter but still positive now 11 days after the ERPC.

It too me nearly 3 weeks. It changes from person to person but my doctor said 2 weeks from the day of D&C
