Eyelid irritation and allergy
I have very sensitive skin and this has lead to me having a great deal of allergies. Right now my biggest problem is my allergy/sensitivity to mascara. Because of this I have a patch of eczema which extends to the inner corner of my eyelid and under the upper lash line so my eye. It's not flaky or extremely red but it caused the skin of my eyelid to be much thicker and droopy, so I can't see very well out of that eye. I bought an all natural mascara on Sunday to curb this issue but it didn't work AT ALL and by the end of the day my eyes were irritated Monday after classes anyways. So I went to the drug store and purchased another name brand mascara and some all natural organic make up wipes to get the irritant off before I went out for the evening with friends. I had the same problem with this new mascara as before but WORSE because I was not able to wipe it off for a few hours until I got home. When I did, my eyelid was a little irritated but nothing noteworthy.
This morning I woke up myself up because I was scratching the HELL out of my eyelid. The pain and itching is so severe that it reminds me of a spider or bug bite. I tried putting Shea butter on it which has historically worked well but this morning it didn't do much of anything. I am wondering what I should do, if anyone else has mascara/makeup sensitivities, and how to get rid of this problem. Thanks in advance!
