When did your Dr. Decide to schedule you for a c section & why?

Just curious.. 36 weeks & still not dilated 😔

I am 40 weeks tomorrow and I still have no dilation. Don't worry about anything yet. 
At my 41 week appointment (in a week) We will be scheduling an induction. C section isn't on the table until an emergency says otherwise.

At 36 weeks not being dilated doesn't really mean anything, you still have a whole month left! And most doctors will give you until 41-42 weeks before inducing so long as you've had a healthy pregnancy. You could always start doing things to try and help your body along: sitting on an exercise ball, walking, etc.

You aren't always dialated that early. Also there is induction instead of a c section.

Being dilated or not doesn't affect anything. You could go into labor at anytime. They can induce labor if your late. LAST resort should be C-section if there are problems with labor etc

I'll have a c section with this one due to previous c section, and they told me sometime around 30 weeks they'll schedule me for sometime the last two weeks of February. They won't do and section because you aren't dilated, they'll either let you go until you go into labor or around 40 weeks they'll induce you.

I went in on my due date w my first son. I was having a lot of contractions so dr sent me to hospital, wasn't dilating or anything so tried induction meds. Only made back labor more intense and it was brutal. After 18hrs I still hadn't dilated at all. Baby was in distress by that point, so had emergency c-section.

They'll schedule and induction date when tore closer to 40 weeks. And they'll usually schedule it for 41 weeks. Last resort is a c-section. If you've never had one before.

Oh and I was scheduled because I had previous labor complications so they felt it safer for me to not try natural birth again... Had a really bad labor for baby #1
