So in a nutshell, my Marine husband has been in for 10 years- NEVER deployed. He needs a combat deployment for his career long term, or at least it would help him at some point down the line. Now... I have 2 kids from prev marriage, and he convinced me to have my 3rd, our first together. Due in 7 weeks! So... He has just told me he is requesting a Bahrain that leaves in March. I get he needs it at some point, but really when she's just 4 months old? The child he wanted so bad and took me forever to even consider.... Now he's going to miss all the firsts. I'm just upset- I don't see why he can't ask for the next one. Why not after her first birthday at least!? I may sound Selfish but I am totally mad right now and don't know how to deal. Plenty of families have to go through deployments, and no mater what I'm sure they suck for everyone, but when it's being requested😒 just makes me angry
