Ever had bv?

Bacterial vaginosis sorry if this is tmi but I think i have it and have for a while and want to know how to get rid of it naturally at home. I read inserting a tampon soaked in coconut oil everyday for a few days or long term fixes the problem. Would this disrupt the ttc process I read bv can delay the ttc process and make it harder to get preg. Any advice before going to dr.

I had it all 3 pregnancies and it can get really bad. Tmi but... once it got 2 a point where every time I wiped, there'd be skin peeling off. Even if u found a way to get rid of it naturally,  it would continue to come back. You need antibiotics.  Know it sucks eso for those of us without insurance but... u need them. Best of luck ♡

Hi! I just recently had BV and I am a nurse and well and the only way to get rid of BV is to take antibiotics from your doctor. They will most likely put you on an antibiotic called flagyl that you will take twice a day for a week. No sex for two weeks. But BV is an infection because you have too much of your bad bacteria than your good bacteria and nothing can reverse that bad bacteria when it becomes infectious other than antibiotics. I would go and see your doctor :) hope this helps!

I got it while I was pregnant and it caused me to bleed heavily and contract. It was terrifying. I recommend going to the doctor for antibiotics.

Even if, we don't have answers where it comes from, I got mine usually after my period and I think it came from a tampon. 
But I know I'm fragile down there ..  What about you girls, Noticed anything ?

I currently have it along with a yeast infection - yay heat and pregnancy hormones!

It needs to be treated with antibiotics, otherwise it will not fully go away. It will seem better, but then go full blown. My OB also suggested not to use soap near the vagina and if I needed to while being treated for BV and yeast to use dial 2x a week.

Just as a little heads up, don't assume it's bv I was taken advantage of while at college and he gave me trich. Kept thinking it was bv and they never tested me when I went to the hospital only for serious stuff. Finally when I went for my annual she told me it wasn't bv and they actually gave me flagyl to treat it as we'll. definitely go and ask I mean, things happen and if it keeps coming back and it's really bad I would. Never hurts to get checked. Since then I've had no problems. None. Hope you feel better!

I had it once and had no clue where it came from. The best thing you can do for yourself is go to the doctor. They will give you medication to get rid of it.

I got it for the first time 2 years ago, I got treated with metrodonazole I think but it came back 8 months later, I had 3 episode so far, I looking for THE remedy to get rid of it permanently but I can already tell you a soap to balance PH like summers eve, help daily and wear only cotton, at night I put some coconut oil down there, I also heard that taking probiotic will help to restablish the flora, good luck to us ;)
