Braxton Hicks?

Question

I am 31(+5) weeks. I have been have a back pain (spasm?) that lasts about a minute and is so intense and strong I can't talk through it and it takes my breath away. They happen irregularly so I didn't think they were normal contractions, plus I have no stomach cramping.

I informed my midwife and she said, Braxton Hicks don't cause pain, but she didn't know what it was.
But most other mommas say BH do hurt!

What do you guys think? Should I be nervous?

They don't hurt as badly as actual labor but they do hurt a little. You may be scared of what's going on with your body and that would make it more painful. Remember, your body is made perfectly for giving birth and you are going to be just fine!! Breathe through them to calm yourself and drinking lots of water helps these type of contractions.

My BH don't hurt exactly but I can't say they feel good! They create a lot if pressure for me and make me want to curl up in a ball. But the doctor says everything is normal! He even saw a few while I was hooked up to the monitors and he said it was normal!
